What kinds of unwritten, invisible (but strongly enforced) rules do you live by in your life and business?
And not just the external ones from societal expectations, but the inner ones you’ve created for yourself.
The past 3 years have allowed so many people to step off the treadmill and experiment with different ways to thrive - whether by necessity or curiosity. And in that process, we’ve learned a lot about what makes us truly happy and what we’re completely over.
We all went through a period of "wait, why tf was I doing it that way before when I could have been doing it this way all along?" and it’s been pretty enlightening.
When you’re in the thick of “comfort” or moving too fast to take a breath, it’s easy to feel like things are “good enough” just the way they are. But being uncomfortable forces us to challenge our assumption of how things should be done.
Even though we’re humans and not machines, we most definitely have a “default” setting we reset to when things get a little squirrely.
But is that default setting serving you? Is it helping you grow?
QUESTION YOUR DEFAULT.
The default is what kept Past You safe, but holds Present You back.
The *first* step is acknowledging what is and isn’t working. Once you do that, you need to break the things you do by default and get creative with executing the vision of your life for Future You.
It won't happen overnight, but a series of purposeful and intentional steps can get you one closer every day to who Future You is.
You have the power to map out and design every inch of your life and business.
Be as unconventional, adventurous, or daring as you'd like.
Or, design your life so you have more time to enjoy the small moments and little things that bring you joy.
The choice is yours to decide, even if it’s not your reality right now. You can work towards it, and that's the beauty of it.
Cheers to living PermissionLESS.
